Two ways to spend time with Axel and Dusty.
You'll arrive a few minutes early, and one of us — Jason or Larissa — will meet you at the gate. After a short welcome and safety briefing, we'll walk together to meet Axel and Dusty.
From there, there's no script. You'll spend proper time with them — brushing them, learning their personalities, hearing the story of the breed and this property, and taking as many photos as you like.
However you'd like to spend your time with us — a focused hour with the boys, or a slower afternoon on the farm — there's a Damside experience to suit.
The Damside Highland Experience
A shorter, more intimate visit for anyone who mainly wants to meet and spend time with Axel and Dusty. Across 45 unhurried minutes, you'll get to know their individual personalities, hear the story of the breed and this property, spend time with them up close, and take plenty of photos — relaxed, personal, and exactly as long as it needs to be.
$150 for up to 2 guests · +$25 per additional guest

The Damside Farm & Celebration Experience
For guests who want more than a visit with the boys — time to relax, bring your own morning tea, afternoon tea or lunch, celebrate a birthday or special occasion, and simply enjoy being somewhere different. Across two unhurried hours, you'll spend time with Axel and Dusty, take in the views across the property, spend time near the barn, and have the chance to meet our Babydoll sheep too. It's relaxed, informal and entirely unhurried — you bring the food and drinks, we provide the setting and the time to slow down.
$250 for up to 2 guests · +$25 per additional guest

As we begin welcoming visitors to Damside Highlands, we're offering 50% off our experience prices for bookings made during 2026. It's our way of welcoming our founding visitors and giving you the opportunity to be part of the beginning of our story, while we introduce Axel and Dusty to new faces at a pace that's comfortable for them.
From 1 January 2027, our standard experience pricing will apply.
The offer applies to the experience price — the additional-guest rate stays the same for both experiences.
Every visit is a little different
While every experience includes quality time with our Highland boys, the exact setting may vary between the paddock, the barn or the cattle yard, depending on the weather and what's best for Axel and Dusty on the day. We believe the best experiences happen when our animals are relaxed and comfortable, so their wellbeing will always come first.
Why our Highlands aren't fed by every visitor
Axel and Dusty aren't conditioned to expect food from every visitor they meet. Instead, we spend time handling and working with them ourselves so they're relaxed, confident and comfortable around people simply because they trust the experience. It means every interaction feels natural, unhurried and authentic — for both you and the boys.

We're currently introducing Axel and Dusty to meeting visitors at their own pace, which means every visit is arranged personally rather than through an online booking system.
